This is the perfect home for those guests wanting country
seclusion and learn about country living. Located approximately 25-30 miles
southwest of Fredericksburg this large rustic home is on a secluded 80 acres.
Cattle and deer roam the acreage along with an abundance of wildlife.
The house is divided into two parts and brought together by a
newly built dining room, which is also the entrance. Wood frame is the structure
of the original house on the property. There you will find the “great room” with
saltillo tile and a beamed a-frame ceiling. This rustic room is decorated with a
variety of wild game. The living room has a sofa and love seat placed to enjoy
the satellite television and the wood fireplace. Also, in this room is a fully
equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms and baths are found in this portion of the house.
One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a double size bed. The adjacent
baths have a tub and a tub/shower.
A log cabin was brought in to create a wonderful master
bedroom. Animal skins highlight the wood floors. The king bed is placed to enjoy
the wood fireplace. There is also an armoire and desk in this spacious room.
Porches can be found directly off of the master bedroom. A bathroom is adjacent
to the bedroom and has a classy porcelain claw foot tub and separate shower.
Red, white and blue are prominent color appointments in this bath.
The room that connects the two sections of this home together
in the dining room. The room has a combination of log, stucco and natural wood
walls. An animal skin rug is found under the “distressed Look” table for six.
Bunk beds are built into a cove in the wall. The light fixture is a metal cactus
and hangs high from the beamed ceiling.
Outside—enjoy the porches found around the house—or the fire
pit in the back yard—or barbecuing on the outside grill. Guests are welcome to
roam the property, but extreme caution should be taken especially during hunting
season. Do not roam on your neighbor’s property at any time. This is definitely
ranch country and critters and varmints can be found roaming, crawling and
flying throughout the 80 acres.
