Anchor’s Aweigh Guest House has been elegantly restored with
an updated kitchen and bathroom. Your hostess lives in
Fredericksburg and is retired from the U.S. Navy and offers a discount
to all Military Veterans. You will find touches of the Navy
and other military services throughout the house, with the flag pole
displaying the U.S. and Navy flags..
Two rockers are found on the front porch for your enjoyment and there
is also an outside seating area to enjoy your morning coffee or to
experience Fredericksburg’s pleasant, brisk mornings or
awesome sunsets. Entering into the living room guests will
enjoy the comfortable leather sofa and chair, including a television
with cable and DVD. There is a selection of DVD’s
for your viewing and an assortment of board games including
dominoes. Open to the living room is a formal dining room
with seating for six.
A spacious kitchen has everything for those family/friend
gatherings. You will find a range/oven, large refrigerator,
microwave, dishwasher and coffeemaker, and fully stocked cooking
utensils. The dinnerware is set up for service for four
people.
The two bedrooms in this house are both conveniently located to the
renovated bathroom with a whirlpool tub/shower. There is a
washer and dryer for your convenience. The master bedroom has
a king brass bed and a television with cable. The second
bedroom (there are two steps down), has two twin beds and a television
with cable.
The den is located between the two bedrooms and offers a leather couch
for a quiet area to read or catch up on your email. There is
a desk with a high speed internet connection for your use.
This area also has a large selection of books and magazines on many
topics, including a section of Military books.
This home is in a perfect location for walking to shopping, festivals
and your favorite restaurants.
