Cottage by the River overlooks Tranquility Island and is located on the banks of the Guadalupe River in downtown Kerrville. This 75 year-old home has gone through tremendous love and a great deal of attention to detail during the restoration. Two suites are available detailed with both comfort and elegance in mind.
Sunset Suite (Front Suite)
Sunset Suite is on the front side of the house and has a private entrance. Comfy chairs are found on the small porch, which is framed with an arbor and lattice for privacy. The bedroom has a queen bed decked with a handsome blue comforter. There is a cot for a third person. The living room offers a wonderful sitting area with a sofa and two chairs placed to enjoy the television and gas-log fireplace. A small kitchen has a range/oven, microwave, small refrigerator and coffeemaker. The spacious bath has a large shower.
Sunrise Suite (Back Suite)
A wonderful porch--with a view of the river--with rockers is perfect for morning coffee. Inside this three-room suite, the elegance is evident and perfect for those romantic occasions or extended stays. The living room has a settee that makes into two twin beds or a king bed. There is a love seat plus two striped armchairs all placed to watch television. The bedroom offers a queen bed decked in luxury. The bath has a tub with a separate shower. There is a full kitchen, which has a range/oven, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave and toaster.
The owner of Cottage by the River has a private suite, which divides Sunrise and Sunset, and is used on occasion.
Enjoy roaming on the ¾ of an acre property. Bring your fishing gear and try a little fishing in the river or simply bring your book and relish relaxing on the porch or by the river. Located across the street is the home of the Riverside Nature Center.
