Becker Vineyards Port & Stilton Cheese Tasting – December 5

Becker VineyardsBecker Vineyards’ Port & Stilton Cheese Tasting returns this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m.  The port sampling is complimentary but regular wine sampling fees do apply. Pumpkin Chunkin’ at Becker Vineyards – November 8

Those fun folks at Becker Vineyards are dusting off the trebuchet ( a medieval engine of war with a sling for hurling missiles – or pumpkins!) in celebration of fall. Live music by Doug Moreland & The Flying Armadillos. Concessions will be available along with wine tasting and pumpkin recipe cooking and sampling.

Noon – launching pumpkins every 30 minutes or so.

Becker Vineyards Wine Dinner at Hill Top Cafe – September 7

Fourth bi-annual Becker Vineyards-Hill Top Cafe Wine Dinner. It’s harvest time! Join us for another very special evening of fabulous wines and scrumptious Hill Top cuisine. Once again the focus will be on Mason County grapes and locally sourced produce and meats. Reserve your spot now!

17th Annual Grape Stomp at Becker Vineyards – August 23-24

“Stomp Me, Crush Me, Make Me Wine!” is at battle cry at the Annual Becker Vineyards Grape Stomp! There will be barrels cut in half with grapes in them for visitors to stomp on! Some people also like to purchase souvenir T-shirts to “stomp” their prints on. The event is complimentary. There will also be music at 1 p.m. the four days of the Grape Stomp.

There is no entry fee.

Rambling Rosé at Becker Vineyards – August 9

Think Pink! Participate in a blind tasting of a selection of rosé wines from around the world and benefit Culinaria, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing international culture to the Hill Country through great wines and flavorful recipes. Also enjoy a selection of small bites specially prepared to compliment the flavor and profile of the rosé wines. Tickets available online.

Two sessions only at 1 and 3 pm. $25 per person.


July 4th Chili Cookoff at Becker Vineyards

Chili sampling, Peoples’ Choice judging and Official judging. CASI-sanctioned event to raise money for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fredericksburg.

10 am to 5 pm. $5 per person for 10 chili samples. Becker Vineyards is 11 miles east on Jenschke Lane off of Hwy 290.

Merlot and Chocolates at Becker Vineyards – February 15-16

Vintner Dinner at Hill Top Cafe – January 25

The Hill Top Cafe, 10661 N. US Highway 87, and Becker Vineyards invite you to join them for another fabulous vintner dinner.  The four course dinner kicks off with a wine reception.  Johnny and Brenda Nicholas, proprietors of Hill Top Cafe, and Nichole Bendele from Becker Vineyards will be present to meet and greet guests.  Seating is limited.  Please make reservations by calling or going online.

“From Terroir to Table” Fundraiser at Becker Vineyards

Dr. Richard and Bunny Becker are hosting “From Terroir to Table” in the Lavender Haus at Becker Vineyards near Stonewall to benefit the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts. The award-winning wines of Becker Vineyards will be paired with the flavorful cuisine of Jason Dady, Executive Chef and Owner of Bin 555 Restaurant and Wine Bar in San Antonio. The evening begins with an optional winery tour led by Dr. Becker at 6:30 pm. A reception follows at 7 pm with the four-course dinner at 7:30 pm. A live and silent auction will be part of the celebration of fine wine and fine cuisine. Attire for the evening is “business”. Tickets are $125 per person.
