Vintner Dinner at Hill Top Cafe – January 25

The Hill Top Cafe, 10661 N. US Highway 87, and Becker Vineyards invite you to join them for another fabulous vintner dinner.  The four course dinner kicks off with a wine reception.  Johnny and Brenda Nicholas, proprietors of Hill Top Cafe, and Nichole Bendele from Becker Vineyards will be present to meet and greet guests.  Seating is limited.  Please make reservations by calling or going online.

Becker Vineyards Port & Stilton Cheese Tasting – December 14

Becker VineyardsBecker Vineyards’ Port & Stilton Cheese Tasting returns this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 6:00 p.m.  The port sampling is complimentary but regular wine sampling fees do apply. Pumpkin Chunkin’ at Becker Vineyards – November 2

Featuring live music by Doug Moreland and pizza concession available. The Chunkin’ starts at noon.

17th Annual Grape Stomp at Becker Vineyards – August 31 – September 1

“Stomp Me, Crush Me, Make Me Wine!” is at battle cry at the Annual Becker Vineyards Grape Stomp! There will be barrels cut in half with grapes in them for visitors to stomp on! Some people also like to purchase souvenir T-shirts to “stomp” their prints on. The event is complimentary. There will also be music at 1 p.m. the four days of the Grape Stomp.

There is no entry fee.

“From Terroir to Table” Fundraiser at Becker Vineyards

Dr. Richard and Bunny Becker are hosting “From Terroir to Table” in the Lavender Haus at Becker Vineyards near Stonewall to benefit the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts. The award-winning wines of Becker Vineyards will be paired with the flavorful cuisine of Jason Dady, Executive Chef and Owner of Bin 555 Restaurant and Wine Bar in San Antonio. The evening begins with an optional winery tour led by Dr. Becker at 6:30 pm. A reception follows at 7 pm with the four-course dinner at 7:30 pm. A live and silent auction will be part of the celebration of fine wine and fine cuisine. Attire for the evening is “business”. Tickets are $125 per person. Public Chili Tasting begins at 11 a.m. Chili Judging: 2 p.m. Fee: $5 for 10 Chili Samples.  Becker Vineyards is on US Highway 290 East about ten miles east of Fredericksburg, and the cook off starts at 11 am. Join us for the 15th and best ever Becker Vineyards Lavender Festival. Sip and swirl with live music, artisans and lavender fields in bloom.

3rd Annual Bluebonnets, bluegrass and BBQ – April 6-7

Join Becker Vineyards for the 3rd Annual Bluebonnets, Bluegrass, and BBQ! Robert Becker, brother of Dr. Richard Becker, proprietor, will bring his Bluegrass band Woodstreet Bloodhounds back to the winery, Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. both days. There is no cover charge for the music. Barbeque concessions will be Smokin’ Willies Smoked Meats, of Dripping Springs, TX, and West End Pizza with BBQ Pizza, of Fredericksburg, TX. They will begin serving food from Noon until out.

An additional new event will be the Sunday Pig Roast-off beginning at 12 Noon until out. Teams will compete for Peoples’ Choice Awards. Wild Texas Hogs will sponsor the event. Becker Vineyards has also won two awards from the American Fine Wine Competition (AFWC), Boca Raton, FL: Double Gold with the 2012 Viognier and Silver with the 2011 Cabernet-Syrah Reserve. Choosing to recognize wineries that grow their grapes in American soil, the AFWC personally invites each participant to be judged by our stellar panel of Sommeliers, Restaurateurs, Wine Educators, Wine Buyers, and Wine Writers. Medals earned are well deserved and reflects a wine of excellence.
