Rambling Rosé at Becker Vineyards – August 9

Grape Stomp at Becker Vineyards – This Weekend

Celebrate grape harvest with lots of ‘stomp me, crush me, make me wine’ action at Becker Vineyards’ Grape Stomp this Saturday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 28 from noon until 6:00 p.m. at the winery at Jenschke Lane off Hwy 290 near Stonewall. Pull off your shoes, climb into the barrel, and celebrate the industry’s original method of grape separation. Admission is free, so bring your feet and prepare to get dirty – or, purchase a glass of wine and enjoy watching the fun! More grape-stomping action returns next weekend at the winery, September 3-4. Pumpkin Chunkin’ at Becker Vineyards – November 8

Those fun folks at Becker Vineyards are dusting off the trebuchet ( a medieval engine of war with a sling for hurling missiles – or pumpkins!) in celebration of fall. Live music by Doug Moreland & The Flying Armadillos. Concessions will be available along with wine tasting and pumpkin recipe cooking and sampling.

Noon – launching pumpkins every 30 minutes or so.

3rd Annual Bluebonnets, bluegrass and BBQ – April 6-7

Join Becker Vineyards for the 3rd Annual Bluebonnets, Bluegrass, and BBQ! Robert Becker, brother of Dr. Richard Becker, proprietor, will bring his Bluegrass band Woodstreet Bloodhounds back to the winery, Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. both days. There is no cover charge for the music. Barbeque concessions will be Smokin’ Willies Smoked Meats, of Dripping Springs, TX, and West End Pizza with BBQ Pizza, of Fredericksburg, TX. They will begin serving food from Noon until out.

An additional new event will be the Sunday Pig Roast-off beginning at 12 Noon until out. Teams will compete for Peoples’ Choice Awards. Wild Texas Hogs will sponsor the event. Vintner Dinner at Hill Top Cafe – January 25

The Hill Top Cafe, 10661 N. US Highway 87, and Becker Vineyards invite you to join them for another fabulous vintner dinner.  The four course dinner kicks off with a wine reception.  Johnny and Brenda Nicholas, proprietors of Hill Top Cafe, and Nichole Bendele from Becker Vineyards will be present to meet and greet guests.  Seating is limited.  Please make reservations by calling or going online.
