Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson forever put Luckenbach, Texas into the mind of the nation with their hit “Luckenbach,Texas.” Now Luckenbach is returning the favor to the late Waylon Jennings, from 1-5 pm. This event benefits the diabetes patients at the Good Samaritan Center. Waylon ultimately lost his life after a battle with the illness. Details coming soon to the website. Luckenbach, Texas celebrates Texas Independence. Official Texas Flag retirement ceremony with Texas Rangers. Starting at noon, Brian Burns and Doug Moreland entertain and present history through music. The Texas Star Trail Ride comes through town around 3 to 4 pm – it’s a sight to behold. Asleep at the Wheel holds court on Saturday night for the Valentine’s Ball and Dale Watson joins the fun on Friday night with the “Give Me More Kisses” dance. First annual event to be held in Luckenbach Texas and featuring live Americana music all day, around 15 Texas Hill Country food trucks and 10 Texas Hill Country wineries as well as beer from the Luckenbach bar. Proceeds benefit the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts. The Americana live music schedule will kick off at noon and continue until 11:30 pm.
