A few weeks ago, during a radio interview, Willie Nelson said he was going to have another July 4th Picnic in Luckenbach, where it was held for four years, from 1996-1999. Unfortunately, Willie may have been too eager.
Austin 360 Blog has reported that Luckenbach has decided not to put on the picnic, saying it was too much of a financial risk for them.
Luckenbach events manager Abbey Road said Tuesday, “We’re hoping that we could maybe do something more scaled back with Willie on the Fourth, but I’m waiting to hear back from his manager.”
