Texas Independence Day at Luckenbach, Texas – March 7

Luckenbach, Texas celebrates Texas Independence. Official Texas Flag retirement ceremony with Texas Rangers. Starting at noon, Brian Burns and Doug Moreland entertain and present history through music. The Texas Star Trail Ride comes through town around 3 to 4 pm – it’s a sight to behold. “Bach at Luckenbach” – July 27

The Fredericksburg Community Orchestra is hosting “Bach at Luckenbach,” an evening of string music, food and fun at Luckenbach Texas, on Wednesday, July 25 from 5:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. The evening opens with local string students performing recital pieces. A spaghetti dinner begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by an hour of the Fredericksburg Community Orchestra performing selections from past concerts and wrapping up with another hour of The Dirty Rotten String Band. Between performances, a new guitar signed by artists who have performed at Luckenbach this summer will be auctioned. Ticket sales ended Friday, July 20. Proceeds will assist the Fredericksburg Community Orchestra to promote string education in Fredericksburg. For more information, call (806) 549-2483

Luckenbach Christmas Ball with Gary P. Nunn – December 22

Make sure your holiday plans include cuttin’ a rug in the Luckenbach Dancehall to the legendary Gary P. Nunn!! He will be performing at this year’s Cowboy Christmas Ball. It will surely be a night to remember! Advance tickets on sale now. $20 per person; kids 12 and under are free.  All ages welcome but everyone must have a ticket. The World Famous Luckenbach Dance Hall located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country was made famous by Willie, Waylon and The Boys and local folklorist Hondo Crouch.

Waylon’s Birthday Bash – June 13-15

Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson forever put Luckenbach, Texas into the mind of the nation with their hit “Luckenbach,Texas.” Now Luckenbach is returning the favor to the late Waylon Jennings, from 1-5 pm. This event benefits the diabetes patients at the Good Samaritan Center. Celebrate Memorial Day weekend at Luckenbach, Texas. iRun Texas Lone Star Half Marathon & 5K – April 19

Run through Downtown Luckenbach along the Texas Hill Country’s scenic country roads and back through the Town Loop in Luckenbach.
