Vino & Pasta is an event geared to help you find that perfect pairing of wine (vino) and pasta, both while enjoying the beautiful TEXAS HILL COUNTRY. Each of the ten wineries work with a top restaurant to help make this one your best trips ever, stay the night and enjoy a weekend of Fun, Fun, Fun!

· Fredericksburg, Texas – Texas Hill Country – TEN wineries, making up the Fredericksburg Wine Road 290 invite you to participate in an event Saturday, March 24, 2012.

· Each of the 10 wineries will team with a top restaurant in the Texas Hill Country to present Vino & Pasta. No ticket to buy, just drive to each of the wineries and get your sampling of a Pasta paired with one of that winery’s fine wine.

· Visit www.wineroad290.com for map. Just 45 miles between the west-most winery (Chisholm Trail Winery) and the east-most winery (Texas Hills Vineyard). The other eight wineries are in-between.

· No TICKET required! Most wineries have a small “tasting fee” that is normally charged, but there is no additional fee for the EVENT.

· Wineries participating (in alphabetical order) are: Becker Vineyards, Chisholm Trail Winery, Fredericksburg Winery, Grape Creek Vineyard, Pedernales Cellars, Rancho Ponte, Texas Hills Vineyard, Torre di Pietra Vineyards, William Chris Vineyards, and Woodrose Winery.

 

4th Annual Hill Country Wine and Music Festival – 4/26-27

HCWMF-HeaderProceeds from these events support the proposed Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts in Fredericksburg.

-Texas Wine Tasting & Food Pairing Evening (4/26) Two acclaimed Texas authors, Dr. Russell Kane and Chef Terry Thompson-Anderson, will be signing their latest books and offering tapas-style dishes paired with Texas Hill Country wines. There will also be a silent auction. 6 PM. $100 per person includes signed copies of both books. At the Ruff Haus, 205 N. Elk.

-Hill Country Wine & Music Festival at the Wildseed Farms (4/27) A day long event featuring lots of Texas wineries, Hill Country restaurants and specialty food vendors as well as amazing live music performances. 11 AM to 7 PM. The admission price of $20 includes a souvenir wine glass, 7 wine tasting tickets and food samples. Available for sale will be wine by the glass or bottle, non-alcoholic beverages, t-shirts, hats and posters as well as beer from the BrewBonnet Biergarten.

Limited Space at Chisholm Trail Wine and Food Pairing with Winemaker Paula K. Williamson – November 12

This sit down event begins at 12:30 pm and will include a taste of five of Chisholm Trail‘s fine wines along with a specially selected food sample, topped off with a private tour of the winery production facilities.
