Gastehaus Schmidt has been privately owned and in operation since 1985. All of the homes in our service are privately owned and operated. We service the Texas Hill Country, more specifically Fredericksburg, Comfort, Kerrville, Ingram and Hunt.

Q: What is an event weekend?

A: Gastehaus Schmidt will charge holiday rates and require two nights on the following weekends in 2010. Check out these upcoming Fredericksburg, Texas events!

Q: Where is your office located?
 
A: Our office is Located at 231 West Main Street. We are between Old German Bakery and Fredericksburg Winery. We wre directly across the street from Red. We are between the cross streets of Orange and Crockett.  We are between  Fredericksburg Winery and German Bakery. 

Q: What are your office hours?

A:  Our office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am to 8 pm, Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Our office is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. We are open 10 am to 4 pm on other holidays.

Q:  How do I find the property I rented and where do I get the key?

A:  We will email the map to your accommodation.   The map has our address, the home address and where to get your keys.  It also includes other important information, like lock combinations and the homeowner or managers phone number.  Make sure to print the map and bring it with you.  GPS devices are somewhat inaccurate for our rural homes.  You will need your map if you choose a rural accommodation.

Q:  Do you charge any additonal fees on your reservations?

A:  We do not charge a booking fee or a housekeeping fee on any reservation.  However, we do charge fees for damage done to our properties, smoking penalties, pet penalties (in those homes that do not take pets) or for any cleaning deemed excessive by the owner.  We also charge a late check out fee equals to one-half night's stay.  Please see our Policies page for details.
