This wonderful Garden Home is located just four blocks north of Main Street in a residential area. Your hostess created this home as a retirement home, and says it was a chance to “retire and go off into the sunset.” Now she and her husband are anxious to share this special home with visitors to Fredericksburg. Memories of days gone by are found throughout the home, and your hosts hope you enjoy what they share with you.
Entering into the foyer and living room guests can enjoy the openness of this comfortable home. The living room is placed to enjoy the cable television, VCR/DVD. Movies are available in the cabinet adjacent to the television. The fireplace is for decoration only, at this time. Open to the living room (but can be private by pulling the curtain) is your hostess’ music room. This is where her students gave there recitals. The sofa converts into a queen sleeper. The porch just outside the living room is comfortable and great for enjoying our brisk mornings or twilight evenings.
A fully equipped kitchen is perfect for the holidays or just preparing breakfast. A dining table is easily accessible from the kitchen or living room.
Two bedrooms and baths are found in the home. The master bedroom has a king bed, shower in the bath and access onto the patio. Even better the bedroom and bath are handicap friendly. Enjoy a pot of coffee in the room that is left specifically for morning “coffee in bed”. A small room adjacent to the master bedroom is the “apple room”, and is so named from your hostess’s history of being a part of the teaching profession for many, many years. A second bedroom has a day bed—but the second bed is already pulled out simply because there is a good mattress on the bed. The bathroom has a tub and shower.
