This wonderful restored ranch house is perfect for a fun getaway. Stroll the nature trail and see Texas flora and fauna close up. Wander over and see the historic Art Methodist Church or drive the seven miles to Mason for shopping and restaurant or Llano is 27 miles to the east.

The ranch was purchased by the original settler, Henry Hasse in 1860. Henry and his family built the current rock house in 1883, replacing the 1860 log structure on the present site. Because of its historical significance the Hasse House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is a Texas Century Ranch, and is graced by a Texas Historical Market. It is one of the very few authentic German farm houses with the original structure intact. The ranch also contains original rock fences from the first days of settlement. The owners have maintained it with great care and attention over the year.

The 320 acres surrounding the house are a working cattle ranch. The ranch plus Willow Creek make the property ideal for observing native plants and wildflowers. The abundant wildlife includes deer, wild turkeys, feral hogs, raccoons and numerous migratory birds. A two mile hiking trail lets guests enjoy the peach and tranquility of country life. From January 18 to November 1 guests can traverse the full 320 acres ranch. During deer season, guests can enjoy the seven acre pasture in front of the house.

The house is complete with period furniture and accessories as well as central air and heat and Direct TV. The fully equipped kitchen contains dishes, pans, stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker are all found in the fully equipped kitchen. The downstairs has a comfy living room with wood burning stove (duraflame only please). The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and a full bathroom with shower.

Upstairs is a large one room area with two double beds and a second full bathroom with shower. The stairs in the house are the original stairs, built in the steep narrow style of German farm houses of the 1850s.
