The Hotopp Haus is located two blocks from Main Street, in the Historic District. This home is typical Fredericksburg with part of the structure being built in the 1850s, part in 1910 & 1914 and the most recent addition in 1991. This wonderful home can be rented as the Whole Home OR as two separate suites described below. Each suite is private with separate outside entrances.
FIREPLACE SUITE – includes den, kitchen, bedroom and bath
The newly added den features the native limestone fireplace with French doors that overlook the patio and summer garden. Yet another wall is the rock of the 1850's with an large antique bar-counter. This 12-inch-thick rock wall is the dividing wall between the two suites. The small kitchen has everything you'll need for cooking. The bathroom has an antique footed tub, stained glass window and pressed tin ceiling. The 1850's bedroom has the original rock walls along with the gunport windows. It has a king-size bed and a bedroom door opens to the side porch. The sleeping loft overlooks the bedroom and has a twin bed. The entire home has been lovingly renovated and decorated.
