There are three guest houses at Ava’s Haus, each with it’s own distinctive personality. All are located one a few acres just outside of Fredericksburg.
The Dairy
The Schlaudt family around 1860 built this country getaway as a barn -- and today is a charming guesthouse.. This country guesthouse (to the left of the main house) is basically one large room with a high pitched ceiling. Part of it is built with the old rock walls. The bedroom area is spacious and inviting with it's king-size bed. A focal point is a beautiful stained glass window located high above the bed - to catch the morning sun. The frame part of the structure is the living-dining area. An old pine armoire conceals the TV, VCR and stereo. This guesthouse has also been a bunkhouse and an antique shop during its lifetime. The location is country yet you're only five minutes from downtown Fredericksburg.
LOCATION - 1 1/2 miles out Hwy. 290W
HOST - Home to yourselves - Guests may be in one of the other houses
BREAKFAST - Continental breakfast, coffee, teas, and juice. cereal and popcorn
