Located only a short distance from Fredericksburg this historic 1860 rock home boasts country living at its best. Evening Star is adjacent to the homeowner’s home and comfortably sleeps four persons.
Conveniently located, the entrance is found on the back side of the house. The entrance is a stone porch just outside the bedroom. An extraordinary...large, king-size brass bed is the focal point of the bedroom. Adjacent to the bedroom is a spacious bath with rock floors (look for the Texas Star), pressed tin ceilings and beaded board walls. The bath has a tub with a hand-held shower plus a separate shower. Outside the bath (in the hall) is a coffee bar built of old wood to create a rustic, barn appearance. For guest’s convenience there is a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker.
Separating the two bedrooms is a cozy stone walled living room. A comfortable country sofa and a pair of wing chairs is arranged in front of a wood burning fireplace. A table for four is great for visiting or enjoying your morning coffee and breakfast.
The second bedroom with its solid rock walls has twin beds. The front porch is just outside the bedroom and is great for enjoying the views of the countryside or the beautiful serene, peaceful sunsets.
Evening Star is a private guesthouse that you have to yourselves. Homeowners live in home adjacent to the guesthouse. Texas Star and Wandering Star guest houses are also located on the property.
