The Golden Hub Community Center will celebrate some “fiesta time” with an enchilada dinner fundraiser May 13. A social mixer starts at 5:30 pm at the center, 1009 N. Lincoln. Wine and punch will be available. Dinner will be served from 6 pm-7:30 pm and the $8 tickets may be bought at the door. Tickets may also be bought from a board member or at the Hub before May 13 for $7. Food may be taken to go if desired.
On the menu will be beef enchiladas, barracho beans, Mexican rice, guacamole, chips and salsa, along with Tres Leches (three milk) cake for dessert. Dinner ticket holders will also be eligible to enter a prize drawing at the door. All monies raised from the dinner will benefit the Golden Hub’s program and activities. The Golden Hub is a non-profit organization that manages the local Meals on Wheels program. People of any age are welcome for lunch at noon at the Hub’s Community Center.
The Center is open regularly from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Information on the enchilada dinner tickets, lunch reservations, or receiving delivered meals is available at 997-7131.
