“Texascapes 2019”. Husband and wife artists Barbara and Chuck Mauldin paint their native Texas in brilliant style. They reflect their love of the Texas Hill Country, family, friends and each other. They can be found painting and laughing together most any work day. Nuances of light remains Chuck’s main focus, while Barbara routinely paints in a quiet but rich palette to explore the nuances of color. He prefers ranch life scenes and she revels in the landscape in bloom. They travel to isolated parts of Texas to work in plein air, inspiring larger studio paintings back home at their ranch outside of Fredericksburg. Barbara and Chuck take us with them on the road as they assembled the charm of “Texascapes” with their impressionistic roots deeply planted in Texas soil.
