The Gillespie County Historical Society and the Pioneer Museum introduce “Little Pioneers”, activities that take place every third Saturday in September, October and November and teach children pioneer ways. Parents bring children age 10 and under to enjoy a different hands-on craft each week. The craft will be based on a book related to pioneer life in Gillespie County. Previous sessions have been about bluebonnet planting, weaving, bead making, farm and exotic animal petting zoos, bread and butter making and more. Parents learn along with their children! Please note that this is not a “come and go” event.
