Wine Cup Cabin | Fredericksburg Vacation Rental

When visiting Fredericksburg our hope is that you come to relax and enjoy your quiet time here! If that is your goal, we have the perfect place for you—Wine Cup Cabin found just a few miles south of Fredericksburg.
The logs from this wonderful cabin are from Mayfield, Kentucky dating back to the late 1800s. Your hosts are six generation Texans with rich and local history. They enjoy sharing the beautiful hill country views and wildlife with their guests. Inside this cozy cabin more history awaits. The tin and barn wood your hosts bought from Art, Texas just outside of Mason and is over 100 years old. When they bought the little kitchen cabinet they were told that it once belonged to Jim Hogg and the pie safe is an old Texas piece bought in Fredericksburg. Notice the loft—the chickens are very happily sitting on antique chicken cages. Every time you enter you will discover another new and interesting piece of history.
The living room has a very comfy leather sofa placed to enjoy the wood fireplace and Dish television and DVD. There is a coffeebar plus a small refrigerator and microwave. A king bed is found in the bedroom topped with a country quilt and pillows. There is a large corner whirlpool tub in the bedroom. The antique dresser is where you will find the bathroom sink.
Enjoying the front porch will be a special treat with its comfy chairs and beautiful plants—and then there is the awesome countryside to enjoy with deer, ducks and birds plus anything else that might wonder by. There is even a pair of binoculars on the porch for you to get that close up look.

Cabin was excellent and loved the deer in the front yard. Thank you so much for a wonderful and peaceful experience. Do not like having to go into town for the key. Wall to wall people, many without masks; no wonder the hospitals are full. Should be able to get the key at the cabin.

Love the coziness, solitude and peace of the cabin. We so enjoy watching the deer each day. This is our second time to stay at the cabin and our suggestions would be a better choice of available RV channels, a sofa that is easier to eat up off of and something in the floor of the. Tub that would help with not being so slippery.
We will definitely be back next year God willing.

Relaxing escape in the country. Enjoyed sitting out under the tree watching the deer and moonrise over the hills and the quiet time, plus hanging out with a fire in the fireplace. Loved the log cabin feel and all the antiques send you back in time.

We enjoyed our stay and watching the deer. It was a nice get away. The only downside was the whirlpool/shower which was hard to get in and out of since we are both 71. Other than that, we had a great time.

Wine Cup Cabin is a beautiful and serene retreat for anyone looking to escape the hurried everyday behind. The cozy cabin had every amenity you could wish for and I couldn't help falling in love with the front porch as I watched the deer and the birds playing. I would recommend this cabin for families, couples, or singles...it is a lovely getaway.

Beautiful little secluded cabin. Cold ac, comfortable, memory foam bed. Was peaceful and relaxing , sitting on porch watching deer and geese roam around. Very close to town. Only issue we had was there was very little water pressure/flow at the basin. Made it difficult to wash hands, brush teeth, etc...etc....
The owners left fresh baked treats(the date bread was fantastic)
Will definitely book again...

We rented the Wine Cup Cabin because the owners allowed pets and we love taking our dog with us. But I would recommend this cute secluded cabin to non pet owners as well. It is very cute and very quiet. The decor was old country and charming. I wondered if the cabin would get cool enough with a tin roof, but it was great. We were greeted with cake and scones and the percolator on the coffee bar made really good coffee. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise and set, as well as the deer, geese, hummingbird s, and listening to the rooster crow. The cabin was close to town and convenient enough to come and go several times a day in between our excursions to downtown, wineries, LBJ, and Luckenbach. My lab really enjoyed her walks to visit the geese on the pond and running through the meadows ... so many new smells. I plan to book another weekend here at the wine up and recommend it to my friends.

The cabin is beautiful and nicely set on the property, but there’s a “but”. I think for the price I should not wonder if something is clean. I think it should be thoroughly cleaned and decluttered. I understand the feel is “antique “, but a good cleaning, white sheets and towels and an actual comforter would go a long way. The cabin is just too charming. I feel the clutter and dingy fabrics took away from it. Also if you state there’s a “coffee bar” have something more than great value coffee, 5 creamers and one packet of sugar. The porch should be cleaned up too, I wanted to watch the sunrise with my coffee but did not want to sit on those stained chairs. This place has great potential, the cabin is great. Just small details took away from my overall experience.

I loved this cabin! It has a beautiful porch with a ton of plants and two rocking chairs. There is a hummingbird that lives close by and comes down to visit the plants. Deer roam freely around the cabin. We saw some geese walking to a waterbody nearby. The inside is very comfortable- the central air is impressive-we never once felt hot inside the cabin. It’s very well decorated and everything mentioned in the description of the place matched. The food exceed my expectations- they left us some yummy treats like warm banana bread and peach Cobbler. We had a very good experience during our stay!

We have stayed at a lot of b&bs over the years, but this one is undoubtedly the best! Cute, well decorated, comfy bed, great tub, amazing flowers and set up for enjoying the world God gave to us. We loved watching the deer and geese as they walked to the pond every evening. The hummingbirds were so precious as they drank nectar from their feeder just a few feet away from our seats on the porch. We loved looking around the cabin and the historic information found by each picture or decoration. The cabin and hosts were just perfect! We plan to stay there again.....soon!

So relaxing and much more 'connected' than expected. A rustic cabin with all the modern utilities. No kitchen for cooking (has microwave and electric percolator for making coffee...THANK YOU!) but does have an indoor toilet...not a roughing it sort of place. The pastries were a lovely touch. Very charming!
