Artisans at Rocky Hill proudly presents “Modern meets Traditional”, a fine art show featuring the work of Keely Corona Smith of Fredericksburg, Texas. Keely’s latest works will include a dazzling mix of contemporary alongside traditional still lifes and landscapes.
The presentation of Keely’s most recent works will debut during an opening reception at Artisans on Friday, March 4th at 5:00 pm during First Friday Art Walk Fredericksburg. The show will remain in place through Saturday, March 19th. Wines by Torre di Pietra will be served along with cheeses from the Amish Market. Keely will demonstrate her talent on Saturday, March 5th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Raised in the Texas Hill Country, Keely Corona Smith earned a deep appreciation for nature and the spiritual connection she felt to it. Keely received a bachelor of arts in Psychology with a concentration in Fine Art from San Angelo State University in 1993. After graduation, Keely began a career in decorative painting. In 1996 she returned to the Hill Country and settled in Fredericksburg, where she helped start a successful decorative painting company painting murals, faux finishes and ornamentation. During this 13 year period Keely went to Rhode Island and studied under 2 muralist and master decorative painters.
Keely’s work will be on display and available for purchase through Saturday, March 19th. Keely will demonstrate her techniques on Saturday, March 5th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Artisans at Rocky Hill is located at 234 West Main St. in Fredericksburg, Texas.
