Nimitz Junior Corps is for children ages 8 to 12. Participation is limited to the first 15 registrants for each session. Pick up and drop off is at the Pacific Combat Zone. 1 to 3 pm. Free.

Day of Remembrance

The National Museum of the Pacific War will mark the annual Day of Remembrance, an important date for the Japanese American community, with cultural activities and educational opportunities. On February 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066 authorizing the Secretary of War to prescribe certain areas as military zones, clearing the way for the creation of internment camps for Japanese Americans, among others. Taiko drummers, origami lessons and lectures from leading historians are scheduled.
