Join the folks in historic Luckenbach Texas for this annual event. Grab your friends and plan to stay for live music, beer, food and wine. Run through Downtown Luckenbach, along scenic Texas country roads and finish at the famous Luckenbach Post Office. We are proud to partner with and benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. T-shirts and finisher’s awards included. All runners receive entry into the post party celebration.

Packet pickup at 6 am; half marathon and 5k start at 8 am. All half marathon participants must complete the course within the 5 hour time limit (by 1 pm).

Saturday in the Park returns this Saturday, March 31, in Harper (located just 20 miles west of Fredericksburg), and will benefit the Harper Library. The fun begins at 11:00 a.m. at the Harper Community Park off Hwy 290 West, with live music, a book sale, children’s activities, $7/plate barbeque and more – wrapping up at 4:00 p.m. The event is free!

Help support the Fredericksburg Independent School District Band during the annual Turkey Dinner fundraiser, Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds on U.S. Hwy 16 S. Stick around for the multi-band concert beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cost per plate is $10 at the door, $9 advance purchase, with available dine in or drive through, and proceeds go to the Fredericksburg Band Boosters.

Raising funds for Hill Country agricultural and youth educational activities via live auction, raffle, door prizes and silent auction, the Gillespie County Wild Game Dinner returns to the Gillespie County Fairgrounds, Saturday Night at 5:30 pm.

Dinner tickets $20 per person.

Annual fall fish fry heralds the beginning of hunting season with a fresh catfish meal with all the trimmings and prize raffle. Great food, good friends and lots of prizes including guns, hunts, UTV and more! At the Harper Volunteer Fire Department Station, 84 N. Ranch Road 783.

11 am to 2 pm. By donation.

A 5K walk around Fredericksburg or a “Golden Mile” for those who cannot walk the 5K.  Walkers collect donations to benefit world hunger relief.  75% of proceeds goes to Church World Services or the denomination of your choice and 25% goes to the local Food Pantry.  Event begins at Bethany Lutheran Church.

2:30 pm registration.  Walk starts at 3 pm.

Play 42, Texas Hold ‘Em and Blackjack to raise money for the Harper Agriculture & Livestock Organization.  Silent and live auctions, raffle, free food and drinks. $20 at the door. Call (830) 329-0171 for details.

Join the United Methodist women at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church,
1800 N. Llano Highway, from 9 am until 2 pm, as they host their annual bazaar. Shop for handmade gifts, baked goods and attic treasures. This event benefits local and foreign mission outreach programs.

Bestfest features specialty beer and sausage tasting, prize drawings, kids’ games and activities and live polka band and dancing.  All on Marktplatz from 11 am to 11 pm.

Admission includes sausage and sides tasting.

Beer tasting tickets extra.

Ages 14 and up $10; ages 5 – 13 $5; under 5 free.

All profits benefit local charitable works and scholarships.
