“Fredericksburg Finery” Luncheon and Style Show on Thursday, April 16. Enjoy a catered luncheon and lively style show featuring spring fashions from unique Fredericksburg shops. 11:30 am at the St. Mary’s Event Center, 306 W. San Antonio. $65 per person.

“Evening Elegance” Catered Cocktail Party and Presentation of the 2nd Annual Pioneer Spirit Award. Friday, April 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Mansfeldt Sheep Barn in Cherry Spring. $50 per person.

“Gardens Galore” Tour of Extraordinary Fredericksburg Gardens. Explore a variety of delightful spring home gardens and enjoy light refreshments in the peaceful setting of an amazing Biblical Garden maintained by Master Gardeners. Saturday, April 18, from 11 am to 4 pm. $25 per person.

Book signing by Ed Wright, author of the book Branches. Wright, a descendant of Fredericksburg pioneers Franz Stein and Anna Jenschke, provides entertaining anecdotes reliving the life stories of those ancestors as well as those of his grandparents, Fredericksburg native Ida Stein and husband, James Wright, an Englishman. Children ages 10 years and younger are invited to Pioneer Museum for the annual Kinderfest.

Come experience a local Christmas tradition. Children are invited to hang a stocking on the Kammlah House hearth for St. Nicholas to fill. Enjoy singing, story-telling, ornament making, refreshments and perhaps even a visit from Santa Claus!

Hang stockings from 9:30 to 10 am. Program from 10 to 11 am. Free admission only for children 10 and under accompanied by a paid adult. $5 per adult; $3 students ages 11 – 17.
