The Plainsmen at Pat’s Hall – July 21
Come on out to Pat’s Hall, 406 Post Oak Road, Sunday afternoon, July 21 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. to hear The Plainsmen. This is a classic country and western swing band playing dance favorites from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The band is led by Homer Whisenant of Dripping Springs, rhythm guitar and vocals; Donnie Mauldin of Johnson City, bass guitar and vocals (Donnie played Pat’s Hall in the ’70’s with Lynn Cryder and the Crosscountrymen); Bert Rivera of Burnet, steel guitar (Bert has played Pat’s Hall numerous times in the past — he was Hank Thompson’s steel guitar player for many years); Tim Campbell of Austin is on drums (Tim has been a professional drummer for over 20 years and has played Texas dance halls extensively during that time); and Lamar Pecorino of Austin, keyboard and vocals (Lamar has played in country dance bands for over 30 years in Central Texas).
