This little 1950’s cottage is charmingly tucked into the trees of this large city lot located only a block from Main Street. The front porch has two rockers to enjoy the crisp cool mornings.
This special home offers many comforts. Decorated with a wonderful exquisite flair. Abigail’s Cottage is both comfortable and elegant. Inside the living room has a comfy sofa and two chairs placed to enjoy the large cable television (DVD/VCR) or enjoy music from the stereo/CD player tucked into the armoire. It is perfect for that welcoming retreat from a day of shopping and touring. Open to the living room is a wonderful kitchen completely equipped for cooking. There is a stove, microwave, large refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster and coffeemaker plus a table with four chairs.
Abigail’s sleeps up to four people. The front bedroom is tastefully decorated with blue accents and a combination of white and coral walls and has a queen bed. The bedroom in the back of the house has an iron queen bed topped with a quilt adorned with green and natural colors. The bath, which is located in the small hall has a claw foot tub with an overhead shower.

- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

Cute house and in a good location. A deep cleaning and some attention to detail are needed. There were little ants in the pantry. There was a ton of random food (I'm guessing from previous guests?) in the fridge and in the pantry. Pillows need to be swapped out for nicer quality ones. The price was right- we would likely stay again. But most rentals are cleaner and a little better maintained than this one.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. I had prepared breakfast casseroles, pancakes, bacon and peach cobbler ahead of time and froze. We got groceries from HEB and cooked dinner. Using the house as our base, we went to state parks and hiked. We also did the surrounding towns looking at antique stores. It was relaxing and very enjoyable. Thank you.

We had a Great time over the christmas holidays and we would use the property again. Just one suggestion is to add a kuerig coffee make as the coffee maker really needs some work.

We enjoyed ourselves very much, a home away from home! It rained while we were there but everything was so relaxing we enjoyed just taking a nap on the couch. Our 3 little dogs came along and there was a nice place for them to potty and plenty of room to run around. It was clean, the beds were in good shape and the bathroom was well stocked. We would readily recommend it to our friends!
