Your host has a definite idea of what Texas is all about and is anxious to share this love of Texas through his cabins. Located just across the street from the well known and popular Alamo Springs General Store and Café these cabins are not only beautiful and private, but they are comfortable too. Each cabin is set up for a romantic or just a casual weekend driving through the countryside. Let us introduce you to Alamo Springs Country Cabins.
The Country Cabin (1) and The Barn (2)
The first two cabins “The Country Cabin” and “The Barn” offer a rustic elegance. Each cabin has a long front porch decked with comfy rockers to enjoy a view of woods and wildlife. Inside these one room cabins you will find a king bed topped with luxury linens and fluffy decorative pillows. The bed is facing the open living along with the leather sofa (also a full size bed) and both are placed to enjoy the television and fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen has a range/oven, large refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster along with the table which can easily seat 3—4 people. Guests favorite part of the cabin probably will be the bathroom with it’s large corner whirlpool tub so important for those special weekends. It also has a separate shower. Ever taken a shower or washed your hair in rainwater? These cabins are supplied with pure, sparkling, clean and refreshing rainwater—and it tastes so good, you’ll want to take some home.
Just outside the cabin your host provides a parking pad for motorcycles.
Along with the special treat of having Alamo Springs General Store and Café across the road, guests may also be interested in the Bat Tunnel located just a short walk away. The Bat Tunnel is open in the evenings during the summer months. The cabins are only a short drive to Luckenbach. This special property has quickly become a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and very homey. There were food items to cook for breakfast but we didn't end up using them. Very nice gesture though. We really enjoyed eating and relaxing at the Alamo Springs Cafe. They had live music and offer the Texas Monthly Best Burger in Texas! We also visited the Old Tunnel State Park to view the bats in the evening. It was really cool to watch the huge swarm of bats come out of the tunnel. Both the Alamo Spring Cafe and the Old Tunnel State Park are in very close proximity to the cabin. Pretty much walking distance if you wanted to get some exercise. The only thing I didn't like about the cabin location was that it was about 15-20 minutes from Fredericksburg. But honestly the drive is very beautiful. Hit up the Bankersmith bar on the way to or from the cabin. They offer food, live music, and some goats that live in a bus. Pretty cool little beer joint!

A relaxing and quiet retreat close to Fredericksburg. Just the right size with everything we needed. The design and decor of the cabin was a rustic style, very fitting for the area. We saw deer right in front of the cabin. We loved the rockers and the front porch with a relaxing breeze. I would highly recommend Alamo Springs The Barn to anyone needing to stay near Fredericksburg.

This was our third time to stay at this cabin, and we love the peaceful, secluded setting. We had a small problem come up, and the owner responded immediately to our text. We had a very tasty dinner our first night at The Alamo Springs Cafe which is within walking distance. We also enjoyed stargazing, another benefit of being out in the country. I’m sure we will be back again!

Great location, cute cabin, peaceful, bathroom and bedding all nice and clean, fireplace very warming; only complaints were that stove, some of the dishes, ceiling fan were dirty. Also sofa sunken in (cushions had no support). Overall we had a nice stay, enjoyed the Bat Tunnel in walking distance.

My wife and I had three nights at the Barn, and we absolutely loved it. If you want privacy, this is the place to go. The drive is a little bit from town but if that wasn't an issue for us. The other cabin on the property is maybe 50 yards away and you can't even see that from your own front porch. Great layout for a couple and a great working jacuzzi tub, and even plenty of movies to choose from no matter what your favorite genre. Had breakfast stuff in the fridge, ready to be cooked and even ice cubes ready for us. We will definitely be back, thank y'all so much!

Absolutely enjoyed the stay. The cabin was very clean and the whirlpool tub was great. The only slight negative was the digital lock, as we would at times have to enter the key code several times to get it to work. But other than that, the location of the cabin and the amenities were excellent. We'll be back. Thanks!

The Alamo Barn has been a favorite of ours for the last six years. We try to go every year around New Year's. A way to rest, relax and reset our goals for the next year and we love to do a movie marathon and play board games that our daughter keeps challenging us with to "help our brains"!!! Out in the country and love the rooster who likes to crow all hours of the day!!! Thank you!
