Located just a short distance from Fredericksburg, this cozy cabin will give you a sense of privacy and a chance to enjoy the views of the Hill Country. Owned by artist Maryneil Dance, this working ranch is an artist’s paradise with live water creeks, stone ledges, miniature donkeys and horses.
At Dance Hall, guests are encouraged and welcome to paint, photograph and just take in the scenery!
This delightful cabin was lovingly decorated by your hostess interior designer. Mrs. Dance has thought of every charming detail in the cabin. From the pressed tin back splash in the kitchen area to the vaulted living room ceiling, This home provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Extra special touches include the stunning queen size metal bed in the bedroom adorned with custom bedding as well as both artists’ paintings throughout the home.
The cabin also has a private deck that overlooks a creek, inviting you to have breakfast in the morning or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.;

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean, very comfortable and relaxing. The back porch was a great place to enjoy coffee and the delicious fresh baked bread made by the very kind host. This is a very peaceful place to stay. Loved it.

My husband and I had a most lovely long weekend at Dance Hall. The cottage was darling and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the patio, walking the property and petting the two horses and miniature donkeys. The owner, Maryneil, is delightful and such a generous and thoughtful host. She made sure our stay was absolutely perfect. We look forward to returning!

The Dance Hall was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The place was so comfortable and quite. Close enough to town to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Fredericksburg and then retreat to the peace of the country. The patio is the perfect place to watch the deer. The hostess has made the place feel like home and is available if you need anything. Highly recommend.

This guest house is adorable with all the accomadations of a 5 star hotel. It doesn't get any better than the Dance Hall. Highly recommend especially if you have an event to attend at La Bonne Via you cant get any closer.

I had a great time staying at Dance Hall from July 30-Aug 1. It was wonderful to stay in the cozy cottage in the country. I have a fun time hiking around the property, seeing the deer, horses, and the mini donkey, plus taking a short drive to Kerrville. Breakfast was good both days. I plan to return soon.

We were in Fredericksburg to see the wildflowers and get a little respite from Houston given everything going on with the coronavirus, and it was such a welcome reprieve. Remote, beautiful and a perfect launching pad for seeing the flowers and Enchanted Rock. A great way to get outside while still social distancing.

Imagine a little cabin nestled into the beautiful rolling hills of Texas. Dance Hall was so wonderful, I hate to even try to describe it. It was clean, it was perfectly stocked and I couldn’t have imagined a more relaxing retreat. The land is absolutely breathtaking with horses, Longhorns, donkeys, and deer at night. It is very secluded and tucked away, but not far from the wineries, Main Street, and enchanted rock. Such a wonderful place and I can’t wait to get back there.

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It has a perfect location - close enough to Fredericksburg, but still out in the country where you can enjoy the quiet and watch the stars. Our host was very friendly and hospitable, and we got to see the beautiful horses and donkeys on the ranch. The cabin itself was charming and very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dance Hall, it was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The hosts had amazing attention to detail, leaving subtle messages and treats around the house. It is 8 miles away from downtown Fredericksburg, make sure you have transportation arranged if you are going out later or to the vineyards as Ubers are scarce and it is not a short drive. We would definitely stay again!

The Dance Hall was a wonderful, quiet place just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. We had an amazing stay here and really enjoyed all of the animals and cute touches in the home, including plenty of breakfast food options, clear instructions on everything in the house, and helpful tips/suggestions for fun things to do in Fredericksburg. We definitely plan on returning again, hopefully soon!

Dance Hall is a cozy cottage for two a stone's throw from Fredericksburg and plenty of other hill country towns. Your hosts - the Dances, a friendly Texas couple - have created a warm and inviting getaway where you can completely unplug from your daily life, relax on the deck, walk the property and see one of the biggest longhorns or some little donkeys. At night, there are so many deer! So be carefull driving in after a day enjoying the hill country. If you need connectivity, there is strong, reliable internet and tv with sattelite. There are plenty of breakfast items available, a small fridge, microwave and toaster oven... and they allowed us to bring a small grill so we could have a dinner there as well. The bathroom has surprisingly good water pressure for a rural setting, full shower, with supply of soaps, shampoo etc. in case you forgot yours. Your privacy is guaranteed as the property sits almost 2 miles off the nearest paved road, and the Dances will say hello and leave you to your vacation. Cost is very affordable for the quality, and reservations are trouble-free to make. Questions beforehand are answered fairly quickly, but it is a working ranch, so it may be a hour or two before you hear back directly from the hosts. If you want a cozy escape from the noise and pace of your "normal" life, this is just what you need. Definitely recommend.

Amazingly perfect. Oktoberfest was on my bucket list, but this little gem should be on everyone's. Perfect getaway! Take a nice bottle of wine and enjoy this beautiful place.
