Lutheran Fall Fest – September 15

The 25th annual Lutheran Fall Festival will be held on September 15, 2012 at Marktplatz!

The Fall Festival is the annual fundraiser for Lutheran Camp Chrysalis. They have planned a day for all ages so bring your friends, family, and neighbors. The day will start with the “Hit the Trails Running 5K” through Fredericksburg at 7:30 am. There are different categories of the run so feel free to walk with a group of friends, or try to beat your best time. For our littler legs, they have the Kids Dash at 8:45 am. At 9:00 am the rest of the events kick off with live music, artisan vendors, live and silent auctions, and tons of games and activities for the kids. The annual Chili Cook-Off kicks off at 10:00 am (judging at 11:00) and the tasting will go on all afternoon! Domino’s & cards will be played all day in the music pavilion so get your game face on!! Kids and adults of all ages will be having a blast, so make sure you have your camera for family pictures. Special areas are set up for photo opportunities! Thinking of food? Well you should because there will be plenty of options! While you’ll have lots of chili to choose from, various food trucks will make their way to Fredericksburg from all over Southwest Texas! They will be serving up a wide range of yummy lunch treats that will work for any and all appetites. Of course there will be Texas sweet treats too, so be on the look-out for apple & pecan pies and other baked goodies.
